The strand test told the whole story. ✨ Before any major color correction, I always recommend a strand test especially if previous box color was used. This small section of hair helps me see how your hair will react to lightener, identify any hidden damage, and create the safest game plan possible. In this case, the top section lifted beautifully, while the ends remained orange and extremely fragile due to previous color history. Had we skipped this step, we could have risked significant damage to the hair.
